4 Questions with Gerard Vlemmings
1. How do you stay on top of the cutting edge?
Oh, I don't think I'm on top of the cutting edge or ever have been. But I like to continue learning and growing. I look at what other bloggers do different than I do and sometimes it's interesting enough to try that too.
2. Where do you see the future of blogs heading?
When I started blogging you didn't have social media. A blog was a website that enabled anyone to create an article and publish it. Now there are many ways to publish whatever you want: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram. So there's competition. Maybe blogging is losing its glory with today's younger generation but I think there will always be blogs. Blogs have become a part of the media landscape because of it's ease of use. A blog is a personal voice and that's why people keep visiting.
3. What is the mission of your blog?
My blog's subtitle is 'Your Daily Dose of Diversion.' And that's exactly what I intend to do. Entertain readers by posting articles about almost everything, being it from science, interesting news, or something funny or silly.
4. What makes your blog different? How can viewers leverage the content on your blog?
A blog is personal so it's actually always different than any other blog. What I absolutely want my blog to be is child-friendly. It's meant for everyone.
